The South Asian Bands Festival – organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India and Seher, is a one-of-its-kind festival for bonding India with its neighbours, keeping the youth in mind. First held in 2007, when India was the chair of SAARC, the festival invited popular bands from South Asian Countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka amongst others.

The objective is to tell the world that this region is united and will remain united in the face of divisive forces that tend to tear us apart. This unique platform of music aims to spread harmony and unity amongst people of the region and will spread the message of peace amongst the youth of South Asia.
